    Here at Great Southern Holiday Properties we manage a portfolio of high-end and heritage style holiday homes, each with a special uniqueness to them that promises your stay with us is not your average stay. Our properties include The Lookout, Latitude 35º5, and Balnagown Cottage. At the heart of everything we do are our guests, and with this in mind we have chosen to represent homes that we ourselves would both enjoy and recommend to friends and family.

  • What is the difference between the South West and Great Southern regions?
    The Great Southern is the largest and most diverse region within Western Australia’s South West. It is rippled with rich history and culture, settled amongst raw natural landscape. Arguably more diverse in terms of natural beauty and activities than the South West, the Great Southern is a popular destination for holiday makers wanting to beat the crowds of Margaret River and Dunsborough.
  • Can we have an event, function, retreat, party or gathering at the property?
    Each our properties is unique, each with its own event policy. Please inquire if you are interested in a certain property and we can provide a specific answer to the relevant property.
  • Do your properties have Wi-Fi and can you guarantee the quality of connection?
    Free WiFi internet (or Starlink satellite internet at Latitude 35º5) is available at all of our properties, however as works are currently undertaken in the Great Southern Region we cannot guarantee the quality of connection. Any service difficulties, once reported to the property manager will be relayed to the service provider for prompt rectification.
  • When do your seasonal rates change?
    Our seasonal rates typically align with the seasons, school holidays and long weekends. If you have any questions about Peak or Low Seasons periods, please contact us.
  • Is there a minimum night stay required?
    Yes, each property has a minimum night stay requirement. Please refer to the property listings, or contact our team to discuss.
  • Can I amend my booking after I have paid a deposit?
    Absolutely, though each property has a unique bookings policy, so please inquire if you are interested in a specific property's policy.
  • Can I cancel my bookings?
    You can cancel a Great Southern Holiday Properties booking, though each property has a unique bookings policy, so please inquire if you are interested in a specific property's policy.
  • What are the arrival and departure times?
    Each of our properties has a 3pm arrival time and a 10am departure time. We can sometimes arrange an early check-in, so please contact us if you plan to arrive early and we'll do our best to accommodate you
  • Can I have an early check in or late departure?
    This will depend on other bookings at the time of your arrival/departure. We will do our best to accommodate, so please contact us with your plans and we'll do our best to accommodate you
  • Do you have any pet friendly properties?
    Yes! Balnagown Cottage is pet friendly, with wooden floors throughout and a generous enclosed backyard.
  • How do I access the property and find out the property address?
    You will be given the property address 24hours prior to checkin, with all access details and instructions provided at the same time. If you need any of this information ahead of time please get in touch to discuss further.
  • What is meant by a standard clean included in the price?
    Our properties have a clear booking policy with expectations of how each property should be left upon departure. Any excess cleaning charges will be passed onto the guest.
  • Do I need to bring any linen or towels?
    No, our properties provide everything you will need. It's part of our Not Your Average Stay promise.
